Manage and execute your growth plan

After you complete the analysis, Adapty presents your growth plan — a list of actionable improvement hypotheses. Each item suggests a new price point, a design improvement, or a country-specific price adjustment. Open a hypothesis to try it out with an A/B test.

Each placement has its own growth plan. You can re-run the analysis to account for the changes in market conditions and receive new A/B test suggestions. After you run a new analysis, you can still view the history of past suggestions.

View the growth plan

Switch between different tabs on the screen to filter hypotheses by type:

  • Pricing hypotheses explore new price points or trial configurations. Each is based on a specific recommendation from the paywall diagnostic or market insights report.
  • Visual hypotheses are design improvement suggestions. They may involve changes to copy, layout, or other visual elements.
  • Geo-pricing hypotheses test country-specific price adjustments.
  • Archived hypotheses are suggestions you removed from your active plan. Review them in the Archived tab and restore if necessary.

You can add your own pricing and visual hypotheses, or archive any you don’t want to test.

The tests based on these suggestions can run in any order, but only one at a time. Since the audiences of geo-pricing tests do not overlap, they can run in parallel with one another.

Geo-pricing hypotheses

One-time purchases are not eligible for regional price optimization.

Open the Geo-pricing tab to see the list of geo-pricing recommendations. Each recommendation targets one country with a single price change and runs as a separate A/B test.

Adapty detects countries that require pricing adjustments and provides data-driven recommendations validated by the Adapty Pricing Index.

How Adapty makes geo-pricing suggestions

  • Pricing recommendations are based on App Store data. The resulting A/B test can run on both App Store and Google Play.
  • The price change percentage is the same across all subscription durations.
  • All prices are rounded to the nearest App Store price tier.
  • Prices appear in local currency (for example, EUR or GBP) if Adapty has transaction data for that country. When no local data is available, prices are shown in USD.

Modify the plan

Update the growth plan

When you complete a test, Adapty updates your existing hypotheses based on that test’s outcome. You don’t need to update the plan manually for this to happen.

To pull in fresh competitor pricing, conversion benchmarks, and category trends, click Update in the growth plan header — or Update Analysis on the Autopilot homepage. Click Get New Ideas when prompted.

Adapty opens the analysis wizard with your placement pre-selected. You’ll go through the full wizard again — paywall, screenshot, paywall analysis, competitors — and Adapty uses the result to identify new hypotheses to add to your plan.

Pick the ones you want to add, or click Add All To Plan to accept everything. Newly added hypotheses appear at the top of the list. Your existing AI-generated hypotheses, custom hypotheses, and any A/B tests in progress are unaffected.

If you start an update and back out before finishing, you can resume it later from the Continue analysis menu option, or abandon the in-flight run to start a fresh update.

Add your own hypothesis

autopilot-add-hypothesis.webp

Autopilot allows you to expand your growth plan with new hypotheses. Click the Add Hypothesis button to create your own pricing or visual suggestion.

Fill the form: add a title, description, and select the type of round (Monetization or Visual).

  • Select the metrics you hope to improve from the dropdown menu.
  • When adding a monetization round, you need to specify which products the test will involve.

Archive a hypothesis

To archive a hypothesis, click the button on its card. The hypothesis moves to the Archived tab.

To restore an archived hypothesis to your active plan, click Restore on the card.

Revisit past hypotheses

If a previous analysis generated suggestions you didn’t pick up at the time, view the version history to find them. You can add any past suggestion to your active plan with Add to Plan .

Run the tests

You can run the tests in any order, but you need to run them one at a time. Once a test is over, advance the winning strategy to the next round. Each round narrows in on a more efficient setup for your app.

Based on our estimates, running a comprehensive set of Autopilot tests could increase your revenue by up to 80%.

Each suggestion includes the minimum duration for the A/B test. Follow these recommendations to get the most accurate data before you begin with the next stage. You will need to stop the A/B test manually.

Open a hypothesis and click Set Up & Run Test to launch the A/B test creation wizard.

Step 1: View the hypothesis

The first step presents an overview of the hypothesis. It outlines the suggested changes and explains the rationale behind them. Click “Set up & Run Test” to proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Create new products

If the test involves a price change, the second step helps you create new products for the test variant. Visual hypotheses skip this step.

  • Click Create a new product and push to stores to create a new product from scratch.
  • Click Connect an existing product if the necessary product already exists in your app store setup.

Step 3: Set up segment and paywall

The third step allows you to set up the test variant of the paywall. Adapty prompts you to duplicate the paywall and apply the suggested changes.

For geo-pricing hypotheses, the wizard prompts you to select an existing geo-fenced segment or create a new one.

Click Next when the new paywall is ready, and the segment is set up.

Step 4: Review & launch

The final step is a summary of the upcoming test. In includes:

  • The key metrics for both Variant A vs Variant B — paywall name, product selection, trial duration, and price.
  • Duration, Traffic (split), and Subscribers (minimum sample size) for the test.
  • A How to interpret results section that describes which signals indicate the test’s success.

Review the configuration and click Launch Test to start the A/B test.

View version history

To browse suggestions generated by past analyses, click Clock in the growth plan header. The Version history modal lists every past run for the placement — date, paywall, and how many of its hypotheses you accepted at the time.

Click a past run to see the hypotheses it produced. You can add any of them to your active plan with Add to Plan — useful for revisiting suggestions you didn’t pick up the first time, or for combining ideas across multiple analyses.
